Tudor Rose Cottage is situated just a 5 minute walk from Swanage beach, shops, restaurants and pubs, with Durlston Country Park (National Trust), a gentle 20 minute stroll along the 'Isle of Wight' walk, where you can have a Dorset cream tea at the Lookout restaurant, taking in the outstanding sea views and surrounding area.

Jurassic Coastline - You may already know that the Dorset coast has been classified the '8th Wonder Of The World' for its fossil heritage, making Swanage a gateway for visitors to have easier access to the fossil forest at Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door, Wheelbarrow Bay and Kimmeridge Bay to name but a few.

Steam Railway - Swanage also has a British Heritage Steam Railway that runs daily to Corfe Castle, which is steeped in 1000 years of history. Thomas the Tank Engine and Sad Sam make the trip as well, even taking the grown ups along.

For the visitors who can't leave their hobbies at home, Swanage has an excellent Golf Course, Water Sport facilities (including Diving).
